Valle y Vega was founded in 2016 through the collaboration and professionalization of earlier initiatives such as El Vergel de la Vega and Ecovalle, which were involved in the production and marketing of organic food in Granada. From the very beginning, we have worked to strengthen short supply chains and bring local organic food closer to the public.
We took our first steps as organic farmers alongside older farmers who possessed extensive knowledge of traditional practices and a deep respect for the Vega de Granada and the Lecrín Valley. Thanks to their work, an agricultural system of great social, environmental, and productive value has been preserved, and generational succession is essential to its conservation.
